The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our service department and ensure the smooth, efficient, and profitable delivery of services to our valued clients. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee a skilled team including boat builders, electricians, and marine technicians, while liaising with contractors, vessel owners, suppliers, and the wider Orakei Marine team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day service operations, ensuring high-quality delivery across all marina services
• Oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, modifications, and warranty processes
• Build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service
• Lead and develop your team through coaching, training, and recruitment
• Manage contractors, quoting, invoicing, and quality control
• Work closely with the Dock Master and Service Administrator to support marina operations
• Drive growth of vessel management subscriptions and service profitability

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in a marine, technical, or service industry
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Technical knowledge of boats, systems, and maintenance practices (preferred)
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving
• Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement
